Opening: April 11, 6 — 10pm
Artist Talk, April 13, 2-4pm more
Dori Vanderheyden’s work layers and enfolds themes of sexuality, the body and colour as a way to evoke questions of what it means to be a human in the universe at this time. The evocative qualities of light emitting fluorescent plexiglass were considered as a material body alongside the material human body to negotiate the meaning of relationships between all bodies, human and non-human. This installation work is the culmination of her graduate work for the Interdisciplinary Art, Media and Design MFA, at OCAD University.
