Video tour of  After The Fact is Emotion exhibition
This show is a compilation of responses to rhythmic and musically influenced events that I have attended and sketched at in the last two years.
Elements of nature, regeneration and transformation are also examined. I endeavour to show authenticity in each response and a sense of both introspection and playfulness. There is a dichotomy with both these elements and I view this as a struggle, a challenge and a creative source, almost like a well of colours spilling over. Beauty is also present.

So much of the work is influenced by the position of the viewer of the event as well as the personal interactions that followed the introduction to a second discipline. That is the driving force in the creation of the paintings. Each piece is a collaboration with either Opera, Ballet, elements in nature and dialogue, and is national and international in origin.

This painting captures the isolation of COVID-19 — but it was created in the midst of a collective

Elizabeth Greisman works internationally and nationally as a Visual artist and Educator. She has exhibited her work internationally highlighted by shows at the Canadian Embassy in Dublin, Ireland, and her most recent exhibitions opened by the Canadian Embassy in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She has exhibited most recently at the RE/MAX Unique in Toronto Canada , where she had a solo show with rotations for a year. Elizabeth has developed collaborations with artists of dance, poetry, music, theatre, creative writing, medicine and cuisine. Some of the residencies she has participated in are Brota Residency, Argentina; The Tyrone Guthrie Centre, Ireland; The Cill Rialaig Project, Ireland; The Irish College, Paris, France; The Vermont Studio Centre,U.S.A.; Fundascione Valparaiso, Spain; La Maison Verte, France; and the Banff Centre, Canada. She is a member of Gallery 1313 and of the Propeller Art Gallery in Toronto, Canada.

She curated and produced five multi-disciplinary shows for Nuit Blanche in Toronto, Canada on the six acre grounds of historic Spadina Museum, combining Visual Arts, installation art, theatre, music, medicine, science and video .

At the Brota Residency, Elizabeth painted large format oil paintings which were reflective of the mediums of dance, opera and the Botanical Gardens by combining the colours and light of Toronto, Canada and Buenos Aires, Argentina. Elizabeth will be exhibiting this group of paintings at Propeller. Abstract operatic and dance imagery superimposed over background colours inspired by the Botanical Gardens of Spadina Museum are also a focus at this time.  Elizabeth’s artwork reaches for the the concept  of “thin space”, a term meaning a space on earth where the distance between the world as we know it and the supernatural world are poised to merge. Emotions and creativity are heightened. Rhythm, figurative motion and musicality, global unity and environmentalism direct the tenor of the paintings currently.
