Equity Statement
Propeller recognizes the dignity and worth of all people by equitably treating everybody, by consulting with the communities in which we are embedded, and making sure all voices can be heard. Propeller values the contributions made by all its members and audiences. Propeller recognizes the barriers of discrimination and disadvantage faced by human rights protected groups, and seeks to create an environment of equality for all people regardless of their race, ancestry, place of origin, colour, ethnic origin, disability, citizenship, creed, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, same sex partnership, age, marital status, family status, immigrant status, receipt of public assistance, political affiliation, religious affiliation, level of literacy, language and/or socio-economic status.
Propeller recognizes the unique status and cultural diversity of Indigenous communities and their right to self-determination. The gallery acknowledges the land we are on as the traditional land of the Huron-Wendat, the Seneca, and the Mississaugas of the Credit River. Today, this meeting place is still the home to many Indigenous people from across Turtle Island and we are grateful to have the opportunity to work on this land.
